Zara is the latest retailer embracing the Barbie hype ahead of the film's release later this week on July 21. Taking to Instagram, the high-street fashion brand revealed to fans that it has now released a new Barbie capsule collection.

In posts sharing promotional snapshots of the new range, Zara told its 59million followers: "Zara Barbie Capsule Collection explodes in pink, glitter and gold with a capsule collection inspired by the new movie, Barbie TM.

"It welcomes all to play dress-up, providing a full offering for women and men, including clothing, accessories, pyjamas, beauty products, and homeware." Just like the film - starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling - the collection features all sorts of bright pink Barbie and Ken-inspired products for women and men.

For £59.99 fans can splurge out on buying a pair of full length pink low-rise denim jeans and £19.99 on a pink short sleeve polo shirt with a plunging neckline and Jacquard fabric detail.

Shoppers can also get their hands on Barbie's black and white striped swimsuit for £45.99, a light wash denim halter neck jumpsuit for £49.99 and Barbie gold hoop earrings for £22.99. You can visit Zara's website to see the collection in full.

On Instagram, plenty of shoppers were excited by the new collection. Madison.headrick gushed: "Omg Barbie of my dreams." Alexaahering penned: "This collection is perfection." Cel_flmt said: "Outfit idea for watching the movie."

However, other fans were left unimpressed as many claimed some pieces were already sold out online or potentially not available in their country. Joetebbie fumed: "Literally nothing is available. Is this a joke."

Referring to the pink Barbie dress posted on Zara's Instagram, Jacquelinegrgs claimed: "Pink dress already sold out before it was launched." Kelseaschmueser added: "Logged on early this am and this dress was sold out in all small sizes and larger sizes states coming soon… Is more inventory coming or did we all have to login at 1 AM in USA to get this dress."

Feliciaacarmenn put: "So many things not even available. So disappointing." Farmulosity typed: "Well this sucks half the stuff says coming soon for me." Sadgirlsgojim asked: "Is everything online sold out already? I’m so confused."

Misswhattowear wrote: "The bag is not available in Romania. WHYYYYY @zara ? Why are you always doing this????" Zara's official account replied: "Hi, thanks for your interest in our brand. Please be advised that due to commercial reasons, the collection is not available in India.

"We kindly suggest visiting the "New In" section on our website for similar styles. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you." However, Itsdeeranisav pointed out: "@Zara she is talking about Romania NOT INDIA."
